I’m Josef Frierdich, the maker behind Steelhead Forge in Saint James, Missouri. My work brings together distinctive handle materials, Damascus, finished blades, and fitted leather and kydex.

I care about the character in the material and how it carries through the finished piece. The shop is growing too: a dedicated space for the work, built one step at a time.
